Danbo is a short word for "danboru", the Japanese word for corrugated cardboard.

Danbo was created by Kiyohiko Azuma, in his manga, Yotsuba. It's a robot made out of cardboxes by one of Yotsuba's friend, in the manga. Revoltech made figures of it, much like they did with Yotsuba. Amazon has its own version.
